Energie4 Pty Ltd (ACN 627 313 179), trading as Energie4 Therapy (Energie4 Therapy, we, our or us), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you use our website, enquire about therapy, book a service, apply for or attend training, make a payment, or use the Energie4 student portal.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:
When you enquire about or receive a therapy service, you may provide health information or other sensitive information about your wellbeing, circumstances and goals. We collect sensitive information only where it is reasonably necessary for our work and with your consent, or where another lawful basis applies.
Please do not include identifiable client information in a practitioner course application or training discussion unless you have lawful authority and informed consent. Use de-identified examples wherever possible.
We collect personal information:
Where practical, you may make a general enquiry without identifying yourself. We need accurate identifying and contact details to provide booked services, assess course applications, process payments, create accounts and grant course access.
We may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:
Course payments are processed by Stripe. Shop, appointment or other payments may be processed by Square, Stripe or another provider identified at checkout. Payment providers collect payment details under their own privacy policies and security standards.
We receive information such as your name, email, payment status, amount, transaction reference and limited payment-method details. We do not receive or store your complete card number or card security code.
The Energie4 student portal stores the information needed to authenticate your account, show your courses, control access and record progress. Passwords and session credentials are handled using security controls designed for account authentication. Administrators can view and update account, enrolment and progress information where needed to support the course.
Do not share your login or course links. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may record a live course or follow-up session when recordings form part of the course. We will tell participants when recording is intended. A recording may capture your display name, image, voice, chat messages or contributions if you use those features.
You may keep your camera off and can contact Magdalena before the session if you have concerns. Course recordings are used to deliver the course to enrolled participants and support learning. We will not use an identifiable participant contribution in public marketing without separate permission.
We disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy, with your consent, or where required or authorised by law. Providers may include:
We do not sell personal information.
Some service providers store or process information outside Australia. Depending on the provider and service configuration, overseas processing may occur in the United States, the European Economic Area and other countries where a provider or its subcontractors operate.
We take reasonable steps when selecting and configuring providers, but overseas recipients may be subject to different privacy laws. Provider privacy policies contain more detail about their locations and safeguards.
We use necessary cookies and similar technologies for security, login, account sessions, forms and site operation. We may also use analytics or advertising technologies to understand website use and measure campaigns.
Embedded videos, payment pages, booking tools, social media and other third-party content may set their own cookies or collect technical information. You can control many optional cookies through browser settings and available consent controls, although blocking necessary cookies may prevent login or form features from working.
We may send information about training, events or services where you have asked to receive it, where it is reasonably expected from your relationship with us, or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. Service messages about an application, payment, booking, account or enrolled course are not marketing messages.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. These include access controls, secure connections, account protections, reputable payment providers, software maintenance and limiting staff access to what is needed.
No online system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm and notification is required, we will follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, to provide ongoing access or support, and to meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance and dispute-resolution obligations.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, unless the law permits or requires continued retention. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request a correction by emailing magdalena@energie4.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
In some circumstances the law allows us to refuse access or correction. If that occurs, we will explain the reason where permitted and tell you about available complaint options.
You may ask us to delete information or close an account. We will action the request where reasonably possible, subject to legal retention requirements, transaction records, safety obligations, dispute records and technical backup cycles.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, email magdalena@energie4.com with details of your concern. We will acknowledge and investigate the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
